I have been trying to attract Northern Cardinals to the feeders for several years without any luck. That all changed this past week when a female showed up. Over the past several days a male has also stopped by the feeders a few times. I was able to get a couple photographs yesterday but the best shot so far came today with the freshly fallen snow. Just in time for the holiday shopping season to boot!

Sandwich Notch road is always one of my favorite trips in the fall. It is a narrow dirt road that connects Sandwich, NH to Thorton, NH. The house in this photo is the only place on the road inside of the White Mountain National Forest.The Thorton side does have a few homes before reaching Rte 49, but they are outside the forest.

Here’s one of the few landscape photographs I took this fall. While the foliage started off slow, we did have some beautiful colors this year. However, peak color was short lived as the wind and rain arrived a few days later.
