I’m looking forward to the upcoming Fall Foliage 2026 season. We are starting to see the leaves lose their dark green shades from summer.
Here are a couple of images from today (September 7, 2026) in Island Pond, Vermont. Within the next two weeks I would expect some decent early season colors in northern New Hampshire as well as the upper elevations of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. In three weeks time the higher elevations in northern NH and VT will be at or near peak. In four weeks time I would expect a large area of peak fall foliage.
